Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has revealed that Mason Radcliffe's comeback storyline will take a dramatic turn later this year.
School bully Mason recently made a return to the cobbles after serving time in Youth Offenders for threatening Maria Connor's teenage son Liam with a knife.
Maria has understandably become concerned over Liam's safety with Mason back on the scene, although the young thug has claimed to regret going so far with his past behaviour.
Samia, who plays Maria, recently caught up with us at an exclusive photoshoot featuring the nominees for the Inside Soap Awards 2024.

Samia told us: "[Mason's return] is going to ruffle Maria's feathers once again because she doesn't want him anywhere near Liam. That's going to lead onto something quite big later in the year, but I can't tell you any more than that!"
She continued: "Maria has got a really good heart. I think she would love to find it in her heart to let Mason have his redemption. But what he's put Liam through has been so bad. I don't think she will ever fully forgive him for what he's done."

Samia also reflected on how this year's dramas have affected Maria and Gary's marriage. A few weeks ago, Maria feared for their future after spotting Gary growing closer to his ex-partner Sarah Barlow.
"Maria and Gary have had their ups and downs but I think they're always going to," Samia admitted. "Since Maria has been to Sarah and told her to back off, hopefully that's going to work. Although how long for, I don't know! It's going to be interesting to see what happens."
Samia is nominated for Best Actress at the Inside Soap Awards this year. The nod reflects Maria's emotional scenes this year, including when Liam confided in her about how badly his bullying ordeal had affected his mental health.

Samia said: "It feels amazing to be among the nominees. I just think everyone is deserving. People who aren't nominated are always deserving as well, because everyone's working as hard as each other.
"It feels really nice to be nominated this year because of the storyline with Liam and the bullying. It's nice that's getting acknowledged."
On Corrie's nominations in general, she laughed: "I'm biased but I think Corrie is the best! I think we've had a really good year – there's been some really hard-hitting storylines, but there's also been the usual Corrie comedy in between all that as well."
Samia is up for the Best Actress prize at the Inside Soap Awards and you can watch our full behind-the-scenes video from the nominees photoshoot at the top of the page.
