Coronation Street spoilers (September 12 to 16)

Next week's Coronation Street will see Toyah take the stand in court, while Kelly confronts Gary about Rick.

Meanwhile, Stu continues to face backlash over his past.

1. Toyah reveals the truth about the crash

Ahead of Toyah's trial, Abi offers to let her look after Alfie for a few hours. Toyah breaks down over Alfie's pram, apologising for taking his father away from him.

The guilt finally gets too much for Toyah and she confesses to Spider that she intentionally crashed the car to try and kill Imran – just as Leanne walks in. Spider and Leanne reel from Toyah's shocking revelation.

2. Saira accuses Toyah in court

Before her court appearance, Leanne pleads with Toyah to stay quiet and not say anything that she'll later regret.

The trial gets under way, and the prosecution barrister is quick to present Toyah as a murderer.

Adam and Kelly are called as witnesses, but things worsen for Toyah when Saira takes the stand and reveals that she saw Toyah kissing Spider. Saira suggests that the pair were having an affair and accuses her of killing Imran on purpose.

3. Toyah's fate is decided

After Saira's accusations, Leanne comes to Toyah's defence. However, Toyah decides she's had enough and takes the stand.

Later, the jury deliver their verdict. Will Toyah be sent down?

4. Dev learns of Aadi and Kelly's wedding plans

With their plans to tie the knot in Gretna Green under way, Aadi confesses all to Dev. Horrified, Dev rebukes Aadi for wanting to settle down with someone like Kelly.

Aadi and Kelly hope to change Dev's mind and prove their commitment to each other by throwing an engagement party.

Later, Gary gives Dev some advice and warns him he could risk losing Aadi by refusing to accept his relationship with Kelly.

5. Maria is caught out by Kelly

Kelly is touched when Gary offers to help pay for the wedding, but Maria is unimpressed. Maria has previously expressed to Gary that they need to stop the elopement, but Gary feared that they would push Kelly away.

While Kelly makes plans for the engagement party, she's hurt when she overhears Maria suggesting that she'll eventually get bored of Aadi and break up with him.

6. Gary fears his secret will be outed

Rick's old associate Sharon returns and visits Kelly to celebrate her engagement. Gary is rattled to see her back on the street and begs her not to tell Kelly the truth about what happened to Rick.

Sharon is given cause for concern when Aadi reveals all about Kelly's recent kidnap ordeal by Rick's former clients.

When Kelly asks Gary to give her away at her wedding, Sharon is appalled.

7. Kelly makes a shocking discovery

Kelly edges closer to the truth about her father's death when she receives a holdall of belongings that her mum left in Spain. Upon inspection of a digital camera, Kelly is troubled when she finds holiday pictures dated June 17, 2019 – the day Rick was murdered.

Kelly confronts Gary over the photos and demands to know who really killed Rick.

8. Stu faces another setback

Billy tries to convince Sean to have his birthday party at Speed Daal as a show of support to Stu. When Billy reminds Sean of his own history of homelessness, Sean agrees.

With business at Speed Daal having slowed down recently due to Stu's reputation, Alya and Zeedan hope the party will turn things around.

During Sean's party, Stu is shocked when a stranger gatecrashes the event and explains that he was a friend of Charlie's. He unveils a box and opens the lid.

Later, Alya and Stu have a meeting with a solicitor who specialists in miscarriages of justice but they're disappointed to learn he charges £15,000.

9. Jenny and Leo make plans for the future

While Leo looks forward to their new life together in Canada, Jenny pretends to be excited for the move.

Daisy tries to convince Jenny that she'd be the perfect manager in Jenny's absence. When Stephen tries to scam Glenda during her first shift behind the bar by suggesting that she gave him the wrong change, Daisy tries to use the situation to her advantage.

Meanwhile, as Jenny looks around the pub, it's clear her heart isn't in the move.

10. Aggie fears that James is moving too quickly

Following his recent cardiomyopathy diagnosis, James informs Aggie that he can't face a future without football and can't wait to get back on the pitch. Aggie hides her concerns about James's health.

James returns from hospital and soon receives a call from County's manager to discuss his future with the club.

11. Ryan opens up to Alya

When Ryan spots Alya having a good time on a lunch date, he can't help but watch on and regret the way things ended between them.

Urged on by Ronnie, Ryan puts his heart on the line. He tells Alya how much he regrets taking money from the Bistro and wishes they could reunite.

12. George is stuck in the middle

Eileen complains to George about Glenda and questions him about how much longer she's planning to stick around. George promises Eileen that he'll have a chat with Glenda.

Later, Eileen is unimpressed to learn that Glenda has scored a job behind the bar at The Rovers and is in no rush to leave.
