Coronation Street's Hope left Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs horrified in tonight's episode (August 16), as she admitted she wasn't at all sorry for starting a fire in the latter's flat.

The youngster, who set Underworld alight back in 2019, indulged her pyromania once again last month when she lit a candle next to the cot of stepfather Tyrone and his new partner Alina Pop's unborn baby.

Alina, who was pregnant at the time, was sleeping nearby, and tragically miscarried due to the hair-raising incident. Despite all that, though, a jealous Hope told her parents that she feels no remorse over what happened.

In the evening's double-bill, Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) doubled down on her plan to take the wrap for the arson and spent the night in a police cell.

After discovering Fiz's scheme, Alina urged Tyrone (Alan Halsall) to tell the truth about what happened, insisting that he and Fiz get Hope some professional help to manage her anger before she inflicts pain on someone else.

"We lost a child, our son, because of what Hope did," Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) reminded her other half. "[She] could've killed me. She's very damaged and if you and Fiz allow her to get away with this, then whoever she gets angry with, and hurts next, is on you both."

Prompted by the stern talking-to, Tyrone took matters into his own hands and informed the investigating officers that it was Hope who was responsible for the blaze.

When word got back to Fiz, she tried to deny Hope's involvement but ended up giving the game away when she begged them not to punish her little girl. Later, Fiz was released with a caution, as Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) tried to convince her not to take her fury out on Tyrone and see this as a valuable teaching moment for Hope.

But when they sat the littlun down to explain that the police want to bring her in for questioning, Fiz and Tyrone couldn't believe their ears when she whined back: "It doesn't matter about the cot now there's no baby to put in it. Sorry, not sorry."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights on ITV.
