Coronation Street actress Millie Gibson believes romance could be in the air for Kelly Neelan and Simon Barlow.
Although Simon is now in hiding, the pair enjoyed a brief flirt a couple of weeks ago, which was subsequently interrupted by the drug dealing twist.
Chatting to Digital Spy and other media, the Kelly star opened up on the possibility of this being revisited in the future.

"I think with Simon, it was a relationship with a person that's actually on her level," began Millie. "They're both troubled, they both have hard family lives, hard backstories and they've been through a lot.
"It would be good to explore their relationship a bit more, because I think it was the only pure thing that Kelly actually had, especially in a romantic sense. All of her other encounters with Corey [Brent] have been a bit of a game, a bit more malicious, a bit less meaningful."

The soap star also went on to admit that she doesn't have a clue where Kelly's future lies, with her troubled character currently charged with the murder of Seb Franklin amid the ongoing hate crime storyline.
"I think she's either going to turn her life around or keep bumbling along and being the same mouthy blonde on the cobbles," explained Millie.
"There is a part of me that does really love her, even though she gets herself involved in all sorts of events. But I do see her sticking around."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
