Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street will see Ray Crosby targeting the Underworld factory next, as he continues his plan to buy up properties in Weatherfield.
In scenes airing next week, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) is hoping to take over the barber shop, currently owned by Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), when she finds out about Gary Windass' massive credit card bill.
Stunned, she confronts Gary.
Later, Gary (Mikey North) approaches Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) about the furniture shop, informing her that he has no choice but to cut her hours.
Ray (Mark Frost) happens to overhear this conversation, and sensing an opportunity, tries to take advantage by making Gary an offer: £150,000 for the factory.

Gary's immediate response is to turn the proposition down. He insists that Underworld is not for sale.
But when Maria hears about Ray's offer, she tries to persuade Gary to go back to him and accept. She explains that taking the deal would open up the opportunity for her to buy the barber shop.

Gary then finds out that Ray now owns the furniture shop. The discovery happens during preparations for Audrey's 80th birthday party, when Gary asks Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) about the shop's increase in rent. Kevin comes clean to Gary about the sale to Ray.
Gary gets another surprise when he checks out David Platt's sinkhole. When Gary begins to suggest a specialist company to sort out the problem, he learns from David that Ray has made an offer to purchase the house.
Afterwards, Gary decides to approach Ray at the Bistro and says that he needs to double his £160,000 offer if he wants the factory.
Ray is caught off-guard, leading Gary to reiterate that he's not selling Underworld. But Ray then offers £400,000.
Gary considers the vastly improved offer, as Maria tries to encourage him to take the deal.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 12 and Wednesday, October 14 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
