Coronation Street's Gary Windass returns to Weatherfield tonight (October 2) – and immediately fears for his secrets.
Gary (Mikey North) and his new wife Maria (Samia Longchambon) have spent the past few weeks off screen, as they've been away on honeymoon following their low-key wedding ceremony at the Bistro.

In Friday's hour-long episode, the happy couple return and appear to be in high spirits following their time away.
Maria is still full of joy over her marriage to Gary and genuinely thinks she has secured her happily-ever-after, still blissfully unaware of her husband's dark secrets.

With her friends wanting all the gossip, Maria soon gets invited to a girls' night at Speed Daal with Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien), Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) and Carla Connor (Alison King).

The evening goes well, until Gary conveniently pops up to collect a takeaway from the restaurant.
Gary keeps a close eye on how things are going, clearly nervous about Maria spending time with Sarah.

Sarah has the potential to wreck everything for Gary, as she's aware of the Rick Neelan murder secret.
Sarah also knows how the unresolved feelings she and Gary have for each other nearly derailed the wedding day a few weeks ago.
With Gary's discomfort clear for everyone to see, Sarah privately assures him that she's not going to say anything – but is this a promise she can really keep in the long run?
