Coronation Street's Carla Connor doubts Peter Barlow's commitment to their relationship next week.
Carla (Alison King) falls out with Peter after he's wrongly accused of having an affair with Abi Franklin.
Next week's episodes see Abi (Sally Carman) clumsily try to make a pass at Peter as they continue to bond over her addiction issues.
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) stays loyal to Carla but asks Abi not to tell her what happened, knowing that it will only cause trouble.

Although Abi agrees, she later makes a risky move by confiding in Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) about what happened.
Peter is livid over this and threatens to tell Carla after all, fearing it's only a matter of time before Debbie spills the beans.
Abi begs Peter to reconsider as she doesn't want her own partner Kevin (Michael Le Vell) to find out. Peter ultimately agrees and they once again make a pact to say nothing to Carla.
Peter's plan is to keep his distance from Abi from now on, but a coincidence brings them together when Abi needs a cab and Peter is the driver.

When Debbie finds out that Peter and Abi have driven off together, she finally loses patience and is more convinced than ever that a secret affair is going on.
Debbie rushes to warn her brother Kevin that she believes Abi is sleeping with Peter.
Feeling crushed, Kevin heads to the Rovers Return, where tensions mount as he shares Debbie's theory.

Abi and Peter are both forced to defend themselves, strongly insisting to Kevin and Carla that nothing is going on between them. However, in the interests of honesty, Abi does come clean over making a pass at Peter.
Carla is highly unimpressed by the entire situation, and accuses Peter of tiring of their relationship once she was back on an even keel after her breakdown last year.
Carla reckons that Peter went looking for a new damsel in distress, hence his recent support of Abi. Can Peter find a way to win Carla over again?
