2. Sean and Billy report Todd's disappearance
Sean catches up with Billy when he drops off a present for Paul's upcoming birthday and fills Billy in on his failed attempts at making contact with Todd.
With their concern growing, the pair realise they have to report his disappearance to the police and Todd is officially classed as a missing person.
3. Sean stumbles upon some shocking news
With the police now involved, Sean and Billy turn to the Finding People charity for support and advice. The charity assures the worried men that they'll do their best to find Todd as quickly as possible.
However, Sean makes a chilling discovery as he searches the missing persons' database and learns that a man's body was found in the river yesterday.
With the news that Todd is set to return to the cobbles shortly, let's hope it isn't too long before his family and friends learn he's alive and well – despite the new face.
4. Peter fears that Abi will relapse
When Abi is hospitalised due to the accident at the garage, Peter is given cause for concern after witnessing an incident at the hospital.
With Abi's previous addiction issues well known, Peter checks in on her as she recovers at home. Hiding painkillers down the side of the sofa, Abi insists that she didn't steal anything from the hospital.
After Peter leaves, Abi is furious to realise he has secretly taken her morphine with him.
5. Carla has a warning for Peter
Abi heads off to find Peter, leading to a confrontation between the pair about her missing medication.
After their tense meeting, Peter insists that Abi needs to get some help to save herself from relapsing.
Later, Carla grows suspicious when Peter lies to her about his meeting with Abi, and it isn't long before she discovers the truth. She reminds Peter of Abi's previous feelings for him and warns him to be careful on his mission to help her.
6. Debbie makes her feelings about Abi clear
The timing couldn't get worse for Abi, as Kevin's sister Debbie makes a return to the Street and immediately warns Abi not to mess her brother about.
Abi arranges to meet Peter and attend a meeting together, but is forced to hide the call when Debbie walks in. When Debbie offers to cook lunch in an attempt for the women to get to know each other better, reluctant Abi is forced to accept.
Later, Abi makes a quick getaway after lunch, leaving Debbie wary about her behaviour. Is Abi going to attend her meeting or could the pressure cause her to relapse?
7. Johnny makes his return
Johnny makes an unexpected return next week, having been out of action on the cobbles ever since April. He and Jenny took a trip to France, but when Jenny returned in July, she revealed that Johnny chose to stay behind at the last minute.
Viewers know that Johnny's quick getaway was due to his secret history with lodger and old acquaintance, Scott.
His reappearance doesn't go down too well with Jenny, who blasts him for his extended absence and leaving her to run The Rovers alone.
8. Scott wastes no time in confronting Johnny
Jenny suspects that Johnny is hiding something from her, as Johnny desperately tries to convince her that everything is normal. He reassures her that he just needed time alone and promises that he'll never leave her again.
Jenny could be the least of Johnny's problems when Scott insists that the men finally have a proper chat. With nowhere left to run, Johnny prepares to face his past.
9. Gemma's surprise party plans get underway
It's Gemma and Paul's 30th birthday, and Paul is oblivious to the surprise party Gemma is planning for him.
When Paul calls by to drop off his present, he suggests the siblings go for a walk together. However, Gemma refuses his gesture and pretends that she's too busy with the quads to spend any time with him.
The move only makes Paul more convinced that Gemma is suffering from depression and is trying to avoid him.
10. Billy is AWOL for the birthday celebrations
Paul is shocked to realise his suspicions about Gemma were wrong when he returns home, and she springs the surprise party on him.
She makes Paul's day with a signed photo of PJ and Duncan and the twins hit the dancefloor. However, there's one notable absence at the party as Billy fails to turn up.
Billy apologises to Paul for missing the party, revealing that he spent the evening supporting Sean. He tries to put Paul's mind at ease by confirming that he has no lingering romantic feelings for Todd.
11. Alya gives Geoff a warning over Yasmeen
Alya receives a phone call from Yasmeen, revealing that her heart operation was a success. She's delighted by the news, telling Ryan that her gran seemed like a new woman after the traumas of the past few months.
Alya is quick to tell Geoff about the latest update, explaining how Yasmeen's recovery means she'll be fighting fit to clear her name when her rescheduled trial date comes round.
12. Daniel is knocked back by Nicky
Nicky has been growing concerned about Daniel's dependence on her in recent weeks, even going as far to suggest he spends more time talking to his family and friends instead of hiring her.
When Daniel tries to arrange another meeting, Nicky is too busy with a client and gives him the number for her friend, Cherry, instead.
Deciding to give her a shot, Daniel calls Cherry, who is shocked to realise Daniel only wants to talk to her about Bertie.
13. Daniel makes a play for Nicky's attention
As Daniel talks about Bertie and Sinead, Cherry is bored to tears. Daniel soon realises, and calls time on their conversation.
Later in the week, Daniel spots Nicky out with a business associate of Ray's. Seizing the opportunity to spend time with her, Daniel interrupts the date and offers to pay double. Will his desperate gamble pay off?
