Coronation Street's Gary Windass is left baffled next week after a heart-to-heart with Kelly Neelan.
Gary (Mikey North) was recently startled when he discovered that Kelly was back on the cobbles, having enrolled at local school Weatherfield High.
The sly schemer has so far tried to keep his distance from Kelly, but they cross paths next week when he finds her in tears outside Number 7.
Kelly explains to Gary that she was thrown out of her private school, Oakhill, when her dad's money stopped coming in.

She adds that her mum ended up owing thousands of pounds in fees as a result of missed payments.
This revelation leaves Gary highly confused, as he has secretly been paying Kelly's school fees out of guilt.
Gary killed Kelly's father Rick in self-defence last year, but felt terrible when he thought about the implications for the villain's teenage daughter.
Knowing that something doesn't add up over the school fees, will Gary do some more detective work – and potentially risk exposing his secret in the process?

The ITV soap has already revealed that Kelly's mum Claire will be making an appearance on the show in the coming weeks.
Gary killed Rick and buried his body last June, taking drastic action in a terrifying showdown with the ruthless loan shark.
Upcoming scenes will see Gary struggle to keep his secret under wraps as the story starts to take centre stage again.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, April 24 at 7.30pm on ITV.
