Coronation Street is hinting at a surprise new love interest for David Platt following his Shona drama.
Earlier this year, the unlucky-in-love Weatherfield resident was left devastated when his wife Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) was hospitalised in Leeds.
Since then, David's (Jack P Shepherd) love life has been somewhat non-existent but all that appears to be changing.
Indeed, spoilers on the show's official website have revealed that David may have a new love interest in none other than Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu).
David's interest in Alina seems to begin when he first visits Clayton and warns him to leave Shona alone.
What to Read Next
After being denied that request by Clayton, a glum David attempts to drown his sorrows in beer when he stumbles upon an equally sad Alina and they get chatting.
The pair's brief chat is overseen by Seb, who is convinced he sees a spark between the pair and later confronts David in the pub before punching him.
