Coronation Street's Vicky Jefferies mystery continues tonight (December 16) as Robert Preston remains in big trouble.
Vicky (Kerri Quinn) hasn't been seen since she clashed with Robert on the eve of his wedding to Michelle Connor – leading to fears that she could be dead.
In tonight's double bill, Robert (Tristan Gemmill) returns home from the police station after his latest interview. He's relieved that he hasn't been charged yet, but fears that it may only be a matter of time.
Robert and his lawyer Paula Martin (Stirling Gallacher) soon discuss the clues which make him look guilty.

This includes the sat nav from his van, which shows the vehicle was present in the area of the woods where he's suspected of dumping Vicky's body.

Paula wonders whether anyone else had access to Robert's van, keen to know whether another culprit could have harmed Vicky. Could this spark some detective work from Robert?
Later on, things get worse for Robert when the police haul him in for questioning yet again.
DS Mackinnon also quizzes Michelle about Robert's past, wanting to know whether she has been entirely honest with them about her former fiancé's violent temper.

Michelle finally opens up over incidents from the past couple of years, including Robert's ABH charge and his steroid abuse.
In the end, the police tell Robert and Paula that he'll be charged with assault. However, if Vicky doesn't turn up soon, there's a very real chance that the charge will be upgraded to murder.
Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
