Coronation Street has lost a few of its most famous faces this year, but one veteran star isn't going anywhere for a while just yet.
Kevin Webster actor Michael Le Vell has extended his contract with the soap for at the least next year, as reported by the Mirror.
This means that he will be around for the show's 60th anniversary, which is anticipated to be a special episode, with the return of famous faces including Sally Lindsay.

Interestingly, depending on the exact date his contract is currently set to last until, it could mean that the actor will be celebrating 40 years since he first started on the soap. Kevin didn't first appear fully on screens until 1983, but Michael had a guest role on Corrie as a paperboy in 1981.
Michael is one of the longest-running actors on the show, although Bill Roache will probably always be the longest-serving cast member, having appeared in the very first episode and planning to do at least another 10 or 20 years.
