Liz McDonald might not have seen the last of her scheming ex-husband Jim in Coronation Street just yet.
The couple are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their arrival on the cobbles, which might make for the perfect timing for Jim's return. Not to mention son Steve recently discovered he has a long-lost daughter!
Jim actor Charles Lawson dropped by Lorraine on Tuesday (October 22) to discuss his recovery from recent health troubles, but was also quizzed by guest presenter Christine Lampard on going back to Corrie.
"Mr MacLeod, the producer, it's the first time in 40 years in this business that I finally meet a producer who keeps in contact with the actors," he joked. "I was in touch with him yesterday, and there are ideas!"
Lawson went on: "It's not really down to [MacLeod], it's down to the writers. He says, if they come up with something. The only thing he does is if it's a load of rubbish, he'll say [it]... Look, you can't possibly separate [Liz and Jim].
"They're meant to be. It's like [Richard] Burton and [Liz] Taylor. So, who knows?"

Lawson added that he's always up for playing Jim McDonald because he loves working with Liz actress Beverley Callard.
"It's very easy for me because I've lived 'in Beverley's pocket', in inverted commas, for a long time," he joked. "It's two minutes and [the chemistry is back]."
It's certainly difficult to see how Jim and Liz could find their way back together, following Jim's most recent scheme to fleece his ex-wife by making her believe their dead daughter Katie had lived.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
