Tonight's double bill of Coronation Street (September 25) featured a frustrating twist for Adam Barlow as his plans to expose Gary Windass' true colours took a major setback.
After hiring a private investigator, Adam learned that it was Gary who attacked Ryan. However, when Adam and Imran confronted Ryan, he point-black denied the assault and insisted that he was mugged by someone.

Ryan later informed Gary that Adam had hired a private investigator to follow him around, and the villain was left concerned when he spotted the detective taking photos in his car.
Despite his initial worry, Gary managed to get the PI on side by paying him off. Unaware of this, Adam asked the detective to send him the photos of Gary beating up Ryan.
Later in the Rovers, Adam announced that he had the incriminating photos of Gary, but as he scrolled through them, he realised that all the images were blurred, offering no proof of the attack.
