Coronation Street's Sam Aston and new wife Briony Gardner's beloved pet dog has sadly passed away, just one day after their wedding.
The Chesney Brown actor tied the knot with Briony over the weekend, but their celebrations were soured by the heartbreaking news, which the latter announced via her Instagram Story.
"Today we lost another member of our herd," Briony wrote to her fans, accompanied by an image of their three dogs. "Sweet dreams Buddy. Now you can lick every cushion in the sky."
She added: "Sam and I are so lucky to have each other through good times and bad. Thank you for the love."
It comes just two weeks after Sam revealed that their black Labrador Bella had died. Rest in peace, Buddy and Bella.
In happier news, the pair got married surrounded by family and friends at Cheshire's Stock Farm on Sunday – and Sam previously admitted that he was staying off beer in the build-up to the big day, declaring: "I want to look good for the photos!"
