It's been four days since Rachel went missing. With Brian still around, things are understandably awkward and McKay advises him to keep his head down. Feeling slightly out of the loop, Brian asks Garda Sean and Garda Adrijan to keep him updated. Despite Adrijan's uncertainty, a fiercely loyal Sean agrees.
A clairvoyant soon gets involved in Rachel's case, claiming that he knows how to find her. Superintendent McKay is not convinced and expressly warns Liam and Niamh not to take him too seriously. Nikki remains positive and reassures the angst-stricken Reids that not only will they find Rachel, but that she is confident that Rachel is still alive. This ray of light gives them the much-needed hope they've desperately been looking for.
Later, Rachel contacts Brian again, but this time things have taken a more serious turn as she admits that she has just consumed vodka and pills. Rachel is frightened and distressed and pleads with Brian to come and help her. Might he actually do the right thing for once?
