It's the morning after the night before for Rachel, and her outburst has her dad Liam even more suspicious. Despite his best efforts, it appears there is no getting through to the troubled teen. Liam has made up his mind - if his daughter won't speak to him, he'll speak to the GardaĆ about investigating further instead. When he pays McKay a visit to voice his concerns about Rachel's little episode outside the Garda station, McKay is surprised as this is the first he has heard of any outburst.
Following Liam's formal complaint and request for an investigation, there is more trouble in store for the Reids when Rachel doesn't turn up for school and is reported missing. As McKay rallies the troops, the race is on to find the missing teenager.
A rattled Brian tries to ring Rachel but to no avail. Fully aware of the seriousness of the situation, Brian sets out to cover his tracks and all evidence connecting him to the young girl...
Meanwhile, in the Tyrell house, Conor tries to hide his withdrawal symptoms from Angela and Tommy, but he doesn't have to try too hard as the pair are so caught up in their own bickering. As both Angela and Tommy head off to work, Conor finally secures some illegal pain relief.
Elsewhere, both Adrijan and Sean continue to vie for Nikki's attention while investigating a tricky assault case. Impressed with what both bring to the table, Nikki toys with the pair, but there's a glint in her eye for one of the young Guards.
