Red Rock's Sharon Cleere reaches breaking point in Wednesday night's episode (April 8) as she tries to expose the true colours of bully boy Brian McGonigle.
Sharon (Jane McGrath) feels compelled to speak up after Brian pushes her one step too far, leaving her career hanging in the balance in the latest episode of the new Irish soap.
A difficult day for Sharon begins when she loses her cool while out on a routine call, which leads to a member of the public making a formal complaint against her for assault.
Sharon is ordered to take some time off in the aftermath of the incident, but Brian (Sean Mahon) quickly makes matters worse by sidling up to her and antagonising her - suggesting that she is only one step away from being gone for good.
Much to the shock and horror of her colleagues, Sharon violently lashes out at Brian and lands herself in further trouble.
Realising that she has nothing else to lose, Sharon tells her bosses about the CCTV footage she saw of Brian kissing an underage schoolgirl and also his involvement in her recent attack.
What to Read Next
Unfortunately, the reaction of Superintendent James McKay and Sergeant Angela Tyrell isn't what Sharon was expecting as Brian has managed to stay one step ahead.
Brian has already warned McKay that Sharon might make allegations against him, pretending that he had previously rejected a sexual advance she made at him and that she is now trying to sabotage his family and career as revenge. With this in mind, will Sharon's allegations about Brian be believed?
Red Rock airs these scenes on Wednesday at 8.30pm on TV3.
