Superintendent James McKay and Sergeant Angela Tyrell arrive to speak to Liam about the accusations made concerning his daughter Rachel. The situation becomes emotional as Rachel gets upset and confesses to kissing Brian and coming on to him. Love-struck Rachel is determined not to get Brian in trouble.
McKay tells Sharon that Rachel has confirmed Brian's story, but she is frustrated at having to accept that the case is closed. Trouble continues as Sharon receives an icy reception from her fellow colleagues following her accusations against Brian. Paudge tries to make amends with her despite not backing her up. As Paudge reminds her that he is all she has now, will Sharon thaw out?
Meanwhile, Liam is still in turmoil over Rachel's revelations. Pushed to breaking point, he throws a punch at an unsuspecting Brian outside the Garda station. Hero of the hour Paudge steps in to try to defuse the tension, and to stop Liam from committing a full-on attack on Brian.
Elsewhere, Bridget's dodgy dealings backfire, leaving Vincent to sort out the mess.
