Annabelle made big bucks, Curse Of Chucky was surprisingly good, and now a new scary doll franchise is on the horizon.
Cult classic Puppet Master is getting a reboot under the working title Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who produced the Transformers movies, will produce for Di Bonaventura Pictures while Bone Tomahawk writer Craig S. Zahler is penning the script which will apparently be the start of a full on franchise re-start involving multiple storylines.

The 1989 original sees a group of murderous dolls brought to life by an Egyptian curse and torturing a group of psychics. The franchise ran to 9 sequels, with the puppets sometimes heroes or anti-heroes.
No director has been announced yet.
What to Read Next
We're hoping this goes full-on ultra-violent homunculus mayhem rather than opting for the family friendly chills of Annabelle.
At the very least there should be scope for some horrifying merchandising opportunities.
