A wholesome dramedy starring Doc Martin's Martin Clunes has now become available to watch at home. Set in the West Country, the film from writer-director Nick Moorcroft follows a grieving family running a struggling pub who decide to turn their lives around and enter the Great British Beer Awards.

Mother's Pride, which Moorcroft co-wrote with Meg Leonard, stars Clunes as the head of the Harley family and Jonno Davies as his prodigal son who comes back home after a stint away - and let's just say, things aren't exactly smooth sailing for the father-son duo.

The film is now available to buy and watch at home from several digital retailers, including Amazon and Apple TV. You can buy the crowdpleaser for £13.99 on both platforms, though there isn't a renting option at present.

Following its March release, Mother's Pride received mixed-to-negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Here, it's been called "parochial pub-based piffle" that's like "a pint that's gone a bit flat" (via Empire), as well as "mild" and "weak beer" (via The Guardian).

Nevertheless, fans seemed to have loved the mix of silly family comedy and heartfelt moments, with Letterboxd users calling it "bittersweet" and "brilliant".
