Released in cinemas last month, the film follows the early life of Oscar-nominated actor Richard Burton, who was born Richard Jenkins, in the Welsh town of Port Talbot.

Set in 1942, Mr Burton sees Jones take on the role of Jenkins' schoolmaster Philip Burton, the man who mentored and later adopted Jenkins.

Joining Jones on the cast are Mrs Harris Goes to Paris star Lesley Manville, who plays Burton's landlady Ma Smith, and Industry actor Harry Lawtey, who plays Jenkins.

For those of you who want to find out more about the Hollywood actor's past, you can now buy or rent Mr Burton from Prime Video, Apple TV, Microsoft Store and other digital retailers in the UK.

"Taking Richard under his wing, the young man thrives under Philip's strict tutelage and the guidance of kindly landlady, Ma Smith."

Since its release, the film has garnered mostly positive reviews, and currently has a critic score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes from 18 reviews.

The Guardian described it as a "heartfelt, vigorously acted, enjoyable, if slightly naïve movie", while The Times said: "It’s a bold movie that tries to find a feelgood drama in the life of Richard Burton, but such is the pitch of this tender biopic."

Screen International said of the film: "The dynamic between Jones, as kindly school teacher Philip Henry Burton, and Lawtey’s impressionable teenager Richie is at the heart of this narrative, and is compelling enough to interest even those who already know Burton’s intriguing backstory."

Mr Burton is available to buy or rent from Prime Video, Apple TV, Microsoft Store and more in the UK.
