Fantastic Four movie slight spoilers follow.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps debuted some new footage this week, and confirmed a fan theory about Sue Storm.
The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film released its first official trailer in February, and eagle-eyed fans noticed that Vanessa Kirby's Sue was walking as if she was pregnant.
However, she wasn't sporting a baby bump, leading people to wonder if Marvel Studios had edited it out. It wouldn't be the first time this franchise has had a misleading trailer.
At CinemaCon this week, Marvel showcased some new footage from the film (sadly, not officially released online), comprising a couple of brief scenes.
In one of those scenes, our main characters sit down for a family meal, and Sue reveals the good news that she is expecting. Fan theory confirmed!

In the comics, Sue and Reed's son Franklin Richards is one of the most powerful characters around, so it'll be interesting to see where the MCU goes with that.
Elsewhere in the footage, a female alien — seemingly Shalla-Bal, the Silver Surfer — tells the Four that planet Earth is marked for death, all the lights in the world go out, and Mr Fantastic admits he doesn't know how safe people are, but vows to protect them.
There's also more obscured shots of the menacing Galactus, the family robot H.E.R.B.I.E., and Johnny winding Reed up.

With a summer release date, we hope it won't be too long before we get more footage and trailers released online, although Marvel does have Thunderbolts* releasing first in May, which might be the focus for now.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in cinemas on July 25, 2025.
