Community star Joe McHale has joined the cast of Scream 7.
According to Deadline, the actor will star in the upcoming film as Sidney Prescott's (Neve Campbell) husband Mark Evans, not to be confused with Detective Mark Kincaid (Patrick Dempsey) of Scream 3.
The horror franchise's seventh instalment marks Campbell's return as Sidney after she skipped Scream 6, with the star announcing her comeback in a post on social media last March.

The film will also bring back Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Chad's sister Mindy.
Isabel May, who played Elsa Dutton in Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, has been cast as Sidney's daughter, while other newcomers include Anna Camp, Celeste O'Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace and Sam Rechner.

Last week, it was confirmed that filming on the horror sequel is finally underway, with director Kevin Williamson celebrating the occasion on Instagram despite joking "I'm not supposed to post about Scream".

Scream 7 was originally going to be directed by Happy Death Day's Christopher Landon, before he left the project in December 2023 following the departures of Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.
Scream 7 will be released in cinemas on February 27, 2026.
