The new DC Universe's Supergirl movie, starring House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock, has started filming in the UK.

Officially titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the film is one of the first entries in the new superhero continuity shepherded by James Gunn, following the Superman movie that's set for this summer.

Production has now begun in Warner Bros Studio Leavesden, with Cruella and I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie helming the project.

He confirmed his casting by sharing an excerpt from a previous interview to his Instagram. The excerpt reads: "So Lobo was... I collect comics, and I don't do so much anymore, but he was always my favourite, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I'm like, 'Hello? It's the perfect role'," the quote read.
