Daniel Craig could find himself in awards contention for his new movie Queer, which is now available to watch at home.

Luca Guadagnino is based on William S Burroughs' novella of the same name and sees Craig play Lee, an American expat in Mexico City who becomes infatuated with former soldier Eugene (Drew Starkey).

The movie is still out in select cinemas if you want to see it on the big screen, but if you're in the US, you can now also watch Queer at home after A24 released it on digital platforms today (January 14).

If you're in the US, you can buy or rent Queer from Prime Video, iTunes and other digital retailers.

Queer has yet to be released digitally in the UK and when it is, it will also be available to watch on streaming service Mubi, who distributed the movie in cinemas in the UK, on the same day.

What to Read Next

Mubi has yet to confirm a digital release date for the movie, but you can pre-order it right now from Prime Video to watch it as soon as it's released if you're not a Mubi subscriber.

You can also pre-order Queer on DVD and Blu-ray ahead of its release in the UK. Like the digital release, Mubi has yet to confirm the release date for the physical release of the movie.

Ahead of Queer's release in cinemas in the UK, Daniel Craig addressed the divisive third act of the movie, which sees Lee and Eugene head into the jungle.

"There are a number of things happening because the book is incomplete. But actually, Oliver Harris [the editor of the New Edition of William Burroughs' Queer], the other night, said he doesn't think it's incomplete," he said.

"He thinks that's what Burroughs intended, that the feeling that you have at the end of the book is the feeling he wants you to feel, which is sort of an emptiness and a kind of 'What? What's next?'."

Queer is out now in UK cinemas, and is also available to buy or rent from Prime Video, iTunes and more in the US.
