Incoming, a new comedy starring It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Kaitlin Olson, is now available to watch on Netflix.

Written and directed by Dave and John Chernin (who also served as writers on It's Always Sunny), the films follows a group of teens who navigate an early-life identity crisis during a night of chaos as they attend their first-ever high school party.

Olson plays one of the teen's mothers, while other cast members include The Black Phone's Mason Thames, Ant-Man's Bobby Cannavale, Grey's Anatomy's Bardia Seiri, Just Roll with It's Ramon Reed and Acapulco's Raphael Alejandro.

The Chernin brothers based Incoming on a party thrown by their next-door neighbour when they were children.

"I remember me and Dave sitting by a window with the lights off just looking into the backyard at this raging high school house party next door thinking that is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen," John told Tudum.

"We always wanted to write a high school movie," said Dave. "So for 15-plus years we’ve been kicking around the idea of a high school movie, and there were just little moments that we always had written in notepads."

As for the reason behind casting It's Always Sunny's Olson in the film, Dave added: "We begged her to do it. The thing about Kaitlin is she always gives you more than is on the page. So that was a relatively straight character, I think, in the script.

"But she is such a force of nature when she gets out there on set that she finds comedy all over the place that wasn’t on the page."
