Kingsman actor Taron Egerton appears in a first glimpse at the upcoming Tetris movie.

Directed by Jon S Baird (Filth), this one charts the high-stakes legal battle that went down in the 1980s to secure the intellectual property rights to the eponymous puzzle video game – à la The Social Network.

Nikita Efremov (Londongrad) plays Russian programmer Alexey Pajitnov alongside Egerton's Dutch entrepreneur Henk Rogers, while Toby Jones (The Wonder), Roger Allam (The Thick of It), Anthony Boyle (The Plot Against America) and Togo Igawa (The Gentlemen) fill various supporting roles.

In the new 'Apple TV+ Winter 2022 & Beyond' trailer, Egerton's moustachioed character cameos at around 38 seconds, sandwiched between clips from the likes of Austin Butler's Masters of the Air and Will Smith's slavery survival drama Emancipation.

Blink and you'll miss him though, because the streamer's other titles are prioritised – not least Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell's newest spin on A Christmas Carol, Spirited.

In other news, earlier this year, Golden Globe winner Egerton addressed the third entry in his Kingsman trilogy – believed to be titled The Blue Blood which kicked off with 2014's The Secret Service.

"My understanding is that we are to be shooting the third instalment in my saga I believe next year. But you know, don't listen to what I say because I don't really know. You know, they're grown-up decisions," he said.

Tetris is slated for release in March 2023.
