Matthew Vaughn has announced a new movie set in the Kick-Ass universe is officially in production as part of a new trilogy.
Titled The Stuntman, the film is helmed by stunt performer-turned-director Damien Walters and is set to tell the story of two brothers who become stuntmen (via Variety).
Vaughn, who recently directed star-studded spy action comedy Argylle, will be producing with his Marv Studios alongside Walters' company Zebbo Productions.

The Stuntman joins the previously announced School Fight, a film about a teenager entering a fight with a love rival at school. Production on the action flick wrapped in 2022, but there's still no word about a possible release date.
Finally, Vaughn has also teased the third film in the trilogy will be a reboot of 2010's Kick-Ass, with all three movies being connected. The filmmaker teased the second film in the trilogy in an interview last month, cryptically referring to it as Vram.
"The trilogy will be School Fight, this movie, let's call it Vram for the time being, and then Kick-Ass, and they're all connected," Vaughn Collider, with Vram likely being The Stuntman.
At New York Comic Con last year, Vaughn divulged some details about the Kick-Ass reboot, originally starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as wannabe superhero Dave Lizewski.

"Kick-Ass sort of changed people's perception of what a superhero film is at that time. So we'll be doing it again," the director revealed.
"So it's none of the characters from the other Kick-Ass," he clarified, though he didn't shut down the possibility of bringing the OG stars back for another film.
"We'd like to bring them back after the reboot," Vaughn said. "This reboot is just going off on a tangent that I can't really talk about now. But it's fun."
Alongside Taylor-Johnson, Vaughn's 2010 movie also starred Chloƫ Grace-Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Evan Peters and Nicolas Cage.
