Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn may not have been the box office hit it should have, but it was roundly lauded by critics, including Digital Spy. The film was raucous and wildly fun, and now you can indulge in the same bananas good time at home.
The digital release of Birds of Prey was moved forward in the US and the UK. In the UK, you can watch Birds of Prey now on a variety of video on demand services.
Firstly, it's now available on Sky Cinema, which non-Sky customers can get by signing up to Sky Cinema for £11 extra a month (down from £19 a month). It's an 18-month contract, which also gives you access to all of the daily movie premieres on Sky Cinema.

Then there's the option to sign up to NOW TV and get a seven-day free trial with its Sky Cinema Pass – which costs £11.99 a month – to watch Birds of Prey for free. It will auto-renew when the trial is over, so make sure to cancel if you don't want to be charged the monthly fee.
If you have Now TV, you can combine the Sky Cinema Pass with the Entertainment Pass, which gives you access to all of the latest TV shows on offer for £21.98 a month. It also comes with a free trial and will auto-renew when the trial is up.
But wait, there's more. If you want to watch Birds of Prey and all the other movies available with the Sky Cinema Pass, you can pay an extra £3 a month on top of your subscription for NOW TV Boost in full HD and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround.
For those not wanting to venture to Sky or NOW TV, you can get the digital version to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video for £13.99. If you prefer iTunes, it is also available there for the same price. You can also pre-order a Birds of Prey hard copy on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K.
In case you weren't paying attention when the film was first released, Birds of Prey follows Harley Quinn in the aftermath of her break-up from Joker.
Meanwhile, Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor), and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz (Chris Messina), put a target on a young girl named Cass (Ella Jay Basco) to get back a diamond she stole.
Gotham is turned upside down looking for her. Unprotected and on the run, Harley (Margot Robbie) faces their wrath.
Quinn, Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez)’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
It's an authentically feminist movie simply because of the women behind and in front of the camera. And in addition, it's just a great, anti-hero, neon-blood-soaked, funny and violent caper.
If you're a big fan, the physical home entertainment release includes special features called: Birds Eye View Mode, Birds of Prey: Birds of a Feather, Grime and Crime, Wild Nerds, Romanesque, Sanity is Sooo Last Season, A Love/Skate Relationship, and, of course, a gag reel.
As bonkers as the movie was, it could have been even more outrageous. Director Cathy Yan revealed that Birds of Prey's writer initially planned for an epic fight scene to include a double-ended dildo weapon. Yep!
