Following a disappointing opening weekend at the box office, Birds of Prey is set to have its title changed in certain cinema chains in the US.
The new DC film, which sees Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn team up with a group of female anti-heroes, underperformed in its opening weekend, earning $33 million domestically when it was projected to bring in between $50-$55 million.

And now it looks like the studio is tweaking the title in certain places to put its biggest asset front and centre. At some US cinemas, the movie will now be listed as Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, just to make it clear that it's definitely a Harley Quinn film.
It's also making no mention of the film's previous full title, which included the words '... and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn'. We can't imagine why they think they need to change that.
AMC, Regal, and Cinemark are all currently running with this new title on their websites. Its name will seemingly remain unchanged in the UK, however.

There are a couple of plausible reasons why the film didn't meet box office expectations. For one, it's an R-rated movie, which immediately shuts out the younger demographic.
Some have claimed that cinemagoers aren't as keen on Worlds of DC titles following the mixed reception to the likes of Suicide Squad and Justice League – but they've all still done huge business at the box office, and more recent releases such as Aquaman and Shazam! have gone down much better with fans.
Birds of Prey is out now in UK and US cinemas.
