Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn features a cast of strong, cool and tough women and one of these is Huntress.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as Helena Bertinelli/Huntress and recently explained all about how the character fits into Harley Quinn's gang.

"She meets these women and has no idea who they are or what they're about," Winstead recently exclusively told Digital Spy.

"She wasn't really interested in them at all in the beginning. It takes a little time for her to warm to them, and so it was fun to see her go from this very angry lone wolf, [a] closed- off person, to slowly opening up and showing her weirdness.

"And these particular group of girls actually enjoy her weirdness and she's going 'oh ok maybe I can be weird and it's ok and maybe there's a place for me in that'.

"So it's kind of sweet in this kind of odd and awkward kind of way."

Winstead also added that it was an "incredible environment" to be in.

She said: "I think we were all so excited that this film was even getting made that I was almost giddy just to be there and just to be there amongst all these really powerful, inspiring women."
