Spider-Man: Far From Home has teased us with new footage ahead of the release of its extended cut across the US and Canada.

During the US Labor Day weekend, Marvel fans will be able to relive the exciting adventures of their beloved superhero with an extra four minutes of never-before-seen clips.

The extended cut will be available in cinemas across the pond, but unfortunately there is no word yet on whether the longer version will reach UK fans anytime soon.

At the time of its official release, Spider-Man: Far From Home became Sony Pictures' highest-grossing film, smashing out James Bond hit Skyfall, which made $1.108b (£913m) back in 2012.

Far From Home totalled an impressive $1.109b (£914m) worldwide – $376m (£310m) of which was in North America, with $733m (£604m) coming from other countries across the globe.

And the difference between the two blockbusters might change even further after the extended cut hits cinemas this weekend.

"The news came as a bit of a shock, but we've made five great movies," Tom Holland said at Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia. "You guys have made it so special for me, and it's not the end of me playing Spider-Man.

"It's only going to get bigger and better from here, which is great."
