HBO has released the trailer for its star-studded limited series Big Little Lies.
The new series features Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgård, Adam Scott, James Tupper and Zoë Kravitz.
Based on Liane Moriarty's 2014 novel of the same name, Big Little Lies follows three mothers Madeline, Celeste and Jane as their lives unravel in their beachside community.
The live adaptation is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, who previously helmed Wild and Dallas Buyers Club.
Witherspoon starred in Wild which is based on a Cheryl Strayed's 2012 memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. She was nominated for a Best Actress oscar.
Big Little Lies will be the first series for Witherspoon since 1993 in the miniseries Return to Lonesome Dove which also starred John Voight and Barbara Hershey.

In the series, Witherspoon is also credited as a producer. In the past, Witherspoon has been a producer for several projects, most recently her cop comedy with Sofia Vergara called Hot Pursuit last year.
Meanwhile, Kidman has not been in a television series since 1989 in the Australian miniseries Bangkok Hilton.
But in addition to Big Little Lies she'll also be in the second season of Top of the Lake which will premiere next year.
Top of the Lake will take place in four years later from the first season with Elizabeth Moss' character returning to Sydney for a new case.
Skarsgård will also mark is return to HBO since leaving True Blood in 2014.
Big Little Lies will air on HBO in 2017.
