Freeform's supernatural series Shadowhunters has just been given a premiere date.
According to Entertainment Weekly, season two will kick off along with the new year on Monday, January 2, 2017.
So, what can you expect? According to an official press release, here's where we'll be when Shadowhunters returns to the tellybox:
"The Shadow World is in upheaval as Valentine and The Circle continue to grow stronger by the minute, while our Shadowhunter team quickly becomes disillusioned with The Clave and their reaction to the recent events.
"Loyalties will be tested, unlikely bonds will be made and relationships will be pushed to the limit as the Shadowhunters and their Downworlder friends make their way in a new world."
And it was also revealed during the Shadowhunters panel at New York Comic Con that Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, aka Stefan Salvatore himself, is directing an episode during the new season.
