Archie Comics is getting new life on TV thanks to The CW ordering a Riverdale pilot.

A re-imagining of the classic comic books will star K.J. Apa and Suite Life's Cole Sprouse as Archie and Jughead, former friends now torn apart by a stunning betrayal.

Producing Riverdale for The CW is Greg Berlanti, who has struck gold for the network in the past with Arrow and The Flash.

Writing this revamped version of Riverdale with Berlanti is Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the Glee scribe who is also the chief creative figure over at Archie Comics.
