Donald Trump is causing a stir in the political world, and now Scandal has recognised his rise by adding a character based on him.
The ABC drama is currently staging a presidential race of its own, with a new Trump-inspired candidate set to be introduced tomorrow (March 17), according to the Hollywood Reporter.
He will go up against Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young), Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani) and Francisco Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) in the presidential race.
Speaking about the possibility of a Trump-inspired character, Young suggestively said: "There might be some parallels coming."
Elsewhere, Joe Morton is getting promoted from recurring to series regular on the political drama.
Scandal airs Thursdays at 9pm ET on ABC in the US. Sky Living airs the series in the UK.
