Word has come from high up at HBO that Game of Thrones hero Jon Snow really is dead.
The fate of Kit Harington's beloved role has been a hot topic since the character was left bloodied and betrayed by his fellow Night's Watchmen in the season five finale.

HBO president Michael Lombardo waded into the fiery debate on Jon Snow's fate at today's TCA press tour by insisting that the hero really is dead.
"He be dead," the network executive initially joked.
Lombardo went on to clarify: "From everything I've seen, heard and read, Jon Snow is dead."
