Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo has explained why she won't let her daughter watch the show.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Meredith Grey actor revealed that while her 15-year-old daughter has "already seen" the medical drama, her 10-year-old isn't ready yet.
"My 10-year-old wants to see it, which, she's not ready," she said. "But a lot of kids in her class have seen it."

Explaining exactly why her daughter isn't ready, Pompeo continued: "I don't want my daughter to see me in my underwear on television just yet. But all her classmates have. So, that makes for great conversation at pick-up."
It comes after Pompeo revealed which famous Grey's Anatomy scene made her eldest daughter cry.

Referring to viral videos in which people film their emotional responses to various Grey's moments, Pompeo said: "My daughter had the same reaction when she saw the 007. She literally cried. I had to film it and I couldn't hold it together."
Away from Grey's, Pompeo is next set to star in upcoming thriller series Good American Family alongside Mark Duplass and Imogen Faith Reid, which premieres on Hulu on March 19.
The eight-part series fictionalises the adoption of Natalia Grace by Midwestern couple Kristine and Michael Barnett.
The pair initially believe that Natalia is a child with dwarfism, though Kristine slowly starts to suspect Natalia is actually an adult posing as a little girl.
Grey's Anatomy season 21 airs on Thursdays at 10pm ET on ABC in the US. Previous seasons are streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
