Fans of The Boys expressed their excitement for the fifth season of the show after Karl Urban shared a behind-the-scenes photo.
The superhero series is due to return next year with its fifth and final season, concluding the story of the titular vigilantes and the Supes of Vought International, who have regularly misused their powers.
With production now firmly underway on the final episodes, Urban – who plays Billy Butcher on the Prime Video show – shared a photo from the set via Instagram, writing: “Oi …I’m on me way Season 5 @theboystv” as he was pictured behind the wheel of a car.

The post received a message from co-star Laz Alonso, with the actor – who plays Mother’s Milk – referencing Giancarlo Esposito’s character as he commented: “Oi!!!!! Om landa!!!! Stan Edgahhhhhhh!”
The comment section was also filled with messages from gleeful fans, who expressed their excitement regarding the final season. “Oi, we have been waiting!” wrote one fan, with another adding: “We're impatiently waiting!”

Whilst the fifth season is still some time away from airing, the universe of The Boys will be expanded following the confirmation of spin-off show Vought Rising, which is set to explore the origins of Jensen Ackles’s Soldier Boy and Aya Cash’s Stormfront.
“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys,” said executive producers Paul Grellong and Eric Kripke in a statement. “We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
The Boys seasons 1-4 and spin-off Gen V are streaming on Prime Video.
