The White Lotus star Jason Isaacs has shared behind-the-scenes details from the show, describing it as "gamey".
The HBO anthology show returned earlier this month with its third season. The latest instalment takes place in Thailand and documents the intrigue and skulduggery that occurs at the titular resort chain.
Following the season premiere last week, Isaacs – who plays financier Timothy Ratliff – made an appearance on Friday's (February 21) episode of The One Show to discuss elements of the series, with the star quipping that some of the on-screen tension made its way backstage.

"It's quite gamey," he told hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp. "Most people got on with each other – most of the time. But there were alliances formed and broken. There's an off-screen White Lotus as much as there's an on-screen [one], just with hopefully fewer body bags."
Isaacs, who has also starred in The OA and Star Trek: Discovery, continued by detailing aspects of the filming process, sharing that the sweltering heat and ensemble cast meant the role "wasn't a holiday."

"Seven months of being there, on top of each other and in each other's pockets," he said. "Nobody should be that jealous of me – it wasn't a holiday! Isaacs' co-star Natasha Rothwell – who is reprising her role as Belinda Lindsey – recently spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about her character's new arc, which sees her appear alongside her son, Zion (Nicholas Duvernay).

"First of all, Nicholas is an amazing actor and I'm so excited for the world to meet him," she said. "He's so bright and talented… It's really cool to play a mother of a son that is in adulthood. Personally, I had to figure out a new relationship with my parents when I was an adult.
"They're real people and they're human and humans make mistakes. We see that relationship burgeoning – of them learning each other in a new way. He's been away at grad school, so to see him as an adult and to give him a little bit of space in this environment is pretty fun."
The White Lotus airs on HBO and Max in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK.
