ER star Noah Wyle is returning to the world of hospital drama in new medical show The Pitt, and the first trailer has just dropped.
As we see in the footage, this is more serious than soapy, with the threat of death constantly looming. Wyle has to take charge of a group of interns as they are thrown in at the deep end, and have to deal with some intense scenarios.
The entire 15-episode season will be set over 15 hours, in a real-time style reminiscent of 24.

The official synopsis calls The Pitt "a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today's America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania."
The show also serves as something of an ER reunion, as producers R Scott Gemmill and John Wells are back as well as Wyle.
