Survivor was up from last year's premiere with 2.7 (9.65m) at 8pm, while the finale of Big Brother rose four-tenths of a point at 9.30pm with 2.6 (7.00m).

ABC's comedy programming saw The Middle earn 2.2 (7.59m) at 8pm, The Goldbergs take 2.4 (7.31m) at 8.30pm, Modern Family was up from last season's finale with 3.9 (11.38m) at 9pm, and black-ish receive a strong debut score of 3.3m (10.79m) at 9.30pm.

Nashville returned to 1.5 (5.60m) at 10pm on ABC.

The Mysteries of Laura was down half of a ratings point at 8pm, garnering 1.5 (9.90m) on NBC.

Law And Order: SVU and Chicago PD generated 2.2 (10.07m) at 9pm and 1.9 (8.40m) at 10pm respectively.
