Netflix's upcoming Addams Family spinoff Wednesday will premiere on November 23, it's been confirmed.
The news was announced on Netflix's official Twitter account, where they also revealed a new poster of Scream star Jenna Ortega in the titular role.
The eight-episode series will follow a teenaged Wednesday during her years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she makes an effort to develop her psychic skills, stop a monstrous killing spree and unravel the same paranormal mystery that ensnared her parents 25 years ago.

Ortega leads an impressive cast, with Catherine Zeta-Jones playing Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán portraying Gomez Addams, while Isaac Ordonez completes the spooky family as Pugsley Addams.
Christina Ricci, who famously played Wednesday in 1991's The Addams Family and 1993's Addams Family Values, also features in the Tim Burton series in an undisclosed role.
Previously speaking about the reboot, Ricci praised her successor, saying: "It was great working with Tim, and Jenna is amazing. I think people are going to absolutely love her as Wednesday."

Ortega has become something of a scream queen in recent years, starring in horrors such as The Babysitter: Killer Queen, Scream and X – a far cry from her Disney Channel years.
She will reprise her role as Tara in the next Scream instalment, which will once again be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
The actress recently joined the cast of upcoming mystery movie Miller's Girl alongside Marvel star Martin Freeman. The film will follow a teacher and his accomplished student as they embark on a creative writing assignment that provides complex results.
Wednesday arrives on Netflix on November 23.
