The Sandman minor spoilers follow.
The Sandman has finally been adapted for screen, landing on Netflix as 10 hour-long episodes that are worth the 30-year long wait.
Leading the cast is British actor Tom Sturridge who plays Morpheus / Dream.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Sturridge explained what it was like to literally have the 'naked dream' (you know, the one where you turn up to work or school and you've forgotten to get dressed), saying it was "worse" than what Morpheus could conjure up for him – because it wasn't a dream at all.
"For me as an actor, it is what it is," he explained. "It was embarrassing. It was my first month on set. No one knew me. You're like, 'Hey, this is me!'
"I was in that sphere, and they couldn't open it, because it took too long. And because it's a glass sphere, you can't have a blanket in between takes, because it's glass, and the blanket would still be there when you shot.

"So I’m literally just sitting there for hours, and kind of – when they say cut – going, 'Hi...' So that was that."
But, however uncomfortable Sturridge may have felt, the nudity was important to show how his character had been stripped of everything during his imprisonment.
"As far as the character goes, it was really important," he continued. "One of the things about Morpheus is: that situation, that century of imprisonment is the most vulnerable he's been in, in his existence.
"And Morpheus is someone who, you know, consistently – or continually – appears to be invulnerable. And to explore that opening inside of him, which I think is the arc of his story within our season, the arc of someone who begins to feel because they've been broken open."
The Sandman season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
