Unfortunately it wasn't Hawkeye that burst in to save the day for the siblings, but Jeremy Renner's song did accompany some pretty major moments in episode four.
The Netflix series has been known to use a quirky and diverse soundtrack to choreograph its scenes – from 'Hazy Shade of Winter' by Gerard Way (the creator of the comic book series the show is based on) to 'Quando Quando Quando'.

Now Renner's cover of The Animal's 'House of the Rising Son' has been added to the track list.
The song dominated the episode, accompanying the flashback scenes that followed a young Harlan Cooper as he grew up with his mother, Sissy, in-between the seasons, ending with the boy misusing his powers to a destructive end.

Renner has been a musician for years, having released two EPs and a mix of original and cover songs.
The show's creator, Steve Blackman, also recently opened up about handling Viktor Hargreeves' transition in season three in light of actor Elliot Page coming out as transgender in 2020.
Addressing the reaction of Viktor's siblings he said: "We wanted to tell a story that was really pro-trans, authentic, sensitive, and show that families can accept trans people in their lives, and it does not have to be a negative thing, as it's often portrayed in the media. That was paramount."
The Umbrella Academy seasons 1-3 are now streaming on Netflix.
