The Umbrella Academy spoilers follow.

The Umbrella Academy's season three trailer dropped today (May 19), teasing some big twists to come ahead – and we couldn't be more excited.

Following the cliffhanger at the end of season two, Netflix's hit show revealed that when the superhero siblings returned to 2019 after putting a stop to doomsday in 1963, they had entered a different reality in which a new team called the Sparrows were in charge. Oh, and their dead brother Ben? Alive.

The new trailer reveals that not only does Ben (Justin H Min) have no clue who his siblings are (even Klaus), but, as Alison (Emmy Raver) puts it, he's also a "complete dickhead". It seems as though we now have a battle of the academyies on our hands.

The trailer provides us with the perfect amount of action and comedy, and of course, the team are now faced with another problem in which they will have to deal with a new destructive entity called a 'cuckoo blitz'. When Viktor (Elliot Page) asks what exactly that is, Five (Aidan Gallagher) replies: "Essentially, we're screwed."

How will they get themselves out of this one? Well, they might have to get Dad's new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong.

However, arguably the biggest twist comes at the end of the trailer when Pogo appears, apparently alive and well in this reality. Fans will remember Pogo's devastating death in the season one finale when Vanya broke free of her specially designed prison.

In the trailer, though, Five walks into a tattoo parlour to find a very different-looking Pogo to the sweet chimp we're all used to. In the paradox, Pogo is a now a tough-looking, cigarette smoking tattooist.

Will he be willing to help the Umbrella Academy back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?

The Umbrella Academy seasons 1-2 are now streaming on Netflix. Season 3 is due to premiere on June 22.
