Moon Knight is no stranger to traversing unexpected territory, but the Disney+ series is drawing the line at dropping an F-bomb.
It's not for lack of trying, mind you.
Following the latest mind-bending episode of the Marvel adventure – which sees Oscar Isaac play museum worker Steven Grant and supernatural superhero Marc Spector – the actor has admitted that he filmed "a lot of takes" where his character says 'f**k'.

Revealing the iconic inspiration behind the line that never was, Isaac told Screen Rant that he and his brother Mike Hernandez (who plays his body double) tried to sneak an "homage" to a 2007 meme into a Moon Knight scene.

"My brother and I, there's this meme that we think is really, really funny. It's this English kid that's got a tie on his head," Oscar explained.
"He's rapping, and then just a punch comes out of nowhere and punches him and he goes, 'Oh, f**k, I can't believe you've done this!' A lot of people know what I'm talking about. And so I was like, 'We've got to find an opportunity to do that.'"
Unfortunately for Oscar, Disney wasn't exactly on board with the idea, and the wait for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first F-bomb continues.

"And this seemed like the perfect time to do it. So I did it. I did a lot of takes where I actually say, 'Oh, f**k'," the actor continued.
"I thought, in Disney, because it's TV or whatever, that you get one F-bomb. But ultimately, not even one. We don't even get the one, so we had to change it."
With Moon Knight executive producer Grant Curtis recently promising fans a host of surprises before the season ends, we're still holding out for an NSFW moment.
