Hulu's acclaimed A24 TV series Ramy is officially returning for a third season, with the release date now confirmed to be Friday, September 30.
All 10 episodes of Ramy will drop on Hulu on that date. This follows a 28-month hiatus while the third season was in production. The show stars Ramy Youssef, who co-created and executive produces the series, as the titular character and also stars Moon Knight's May Calamawy as Dena Hassan, Ramy's sister.
Ramy follows Youssef's experiences as a first-generation Egyptian American and Muslim living in New Jersey.
The show's first two seasons consisted of 10 episodes each and were met with critical acclaim. Ramy received an incredible rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes for the show's first season, with the critical consensus reading: "An insightful and hilarious glimpse into the life of a Muslim American family, Ramy perfectly articulates the precarious nature and nuances of identity and announces Ramy Youssef is a talent to watch."
The second season received a 95% rating, giving the show an average of 96%. Meanwhile, Youssef earned two Emmy nominations for his work on the show — one for writing and one for directing — while Mahershala Ali was nominated for his supporting role as Sheikh Malik in season two.
