Moon Knight spoilers follow.
Moon Knight's latest episode might have got trippier than its predecessors but, according to the show's bosses, it's only about to get crazier.
The Disney+ series' fourth episode ended up with its main character, Marc Spector/Steven Grant, waking up in an alternate reality after seemingly being shot to death by Ethan Hawke's Arthur Harrow.

When he next opened his eyes, Marc was a patient in a mental health facility – reminiscent of Legion's David Haller.

In quite a startling turn of events, Marc navigated this new reality where Harrow leads the facility as head doctor, managed to reunite with Steven who had been trapped inside a sarcophagus, and the two made their escape... only to run into a lavishly dressed hippo-esque deity.
The creature, it has been revealed, is played by Antonia Salib, and is Moon Knight's version of the Egyptian goddess Tawaret - which, according to executive producer Grant Curtis, is a way into exploring a whole new world of the show's mythology.
Speaking to TVLine, Curtis said: "There's a whole world of Moon Knight's history that you have not been able to watch in those first four episodes that you will in the last two.
"Big fans of the comics who do know his history are going to be happy."

The episode's director Aaron Moorehead also recently touched upon the plans in store for the rest of the season, adding that – at least for the fourth episode – the aim had been to disorient and unsettle audiences.
"I think if you were surprised by episode four, get ready to be surprised again by episodes five and six," he said (via Entertainment Weekly).
"I know it just sounds like a nice little tag, but I promise you that's actually the case."
Moon Knight is now streaming on Disney+, with new episodes every Wednesday.
